Job summary

WECRUIT PTE. LTD. requires an experienced Fleet Operations professional to oversee regulatory compliance, crew onboarding and safety programs. The role focuses on ensuring maritime standards, conducting inspections, and driving continuous improvement across operations.

You will lead crew selection, training, and competency development while coordinating with authorities and shore teams to maintain safe and efficient vessel performance.

Qualifications

• Certificate of competency for Deck Class 2 or higher (MPA Singapore)
• At least 5 years in fleet operations, supervisory/managerial preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure vessel compliance with maritime regulations and international standards.
• Coordinate inspections, audits, vetting and regulatory surveys, with follow-up actions.
• Manage crew selection, interviewing, onboarding, training and competency development.
• Promote safety, environmental and operational procedure implementation.
• Monitor navigational safety, cargo operations, and vessel performance.
• Support voyage planning and efficient use of resources and cargo.
• Conduct safety inspections and assist incident investigations and continual improvement.
• Collaborate with crews, authorities and shore teams for safe, compliant operations.

Job description

• Coordinate inspections, audits, vetting and regulatory surveys, including follow-up on corrective actions.
• Manage crew selection, interviews, onboarding, training and competency development.
• Promote effective implementation of safety, environmental and operational procedures.
• Monitor navigational safety, cargo operations, pollution prevention and vessel performance.
• Support voyage planning and operational efficiency, including effective resource and cargo utilisation.
• Conduct safety inspections and support incident investigations, audits and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with vessel crews, authorities, classification societies and shore-based teams to ensure safe, compliant and efficient operations.

Requirements:

• Certificate of competency to Class 2 or above (Deck) recognised by MPA Singapore
• At least 5 years of experience in fleet operations, preferably in a supervisory/managerial role
