Job summary

UNITED SHIP MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking a Marine Executive in Singapore to support the Marine Department and Superintendents in day-to-day fleet management.

The role focuses on maintaining vessel certificates, supporting audits, and coordinating with Class, Flag State and external parties. A diploma/degree in maritime disciplines and at least 2 years of related experience are required for this long-term opportunity.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies, Nautical Studies, Marine Engineering, Shipping or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in ship management, marine operations or maritime industry.
• Experience in ship management company is highly preferred.
• Practical experience in vessel documentation and coordination with vessels, Class, Flag State or other stakeholders.
• Familiarity with ISM, ISPS, SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW and related maritime requirements.
• Experience in audits, inspections, surveys and vetting is an advantage.
• Experience in tanker operations, FSU operations or OCIMF/SIRE matters is an advantage.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Provide marine and documentation support to the Marine Department and Marine Superintendents.
• Maintain and monitor vessel certificates, statutory documents and marine records.
• Follow up with vessels, Masters and relevant parties on outstanding documents and submissions.
• Coordinate with Class, Flag State, agents and other parties on vessel matters.
• Prepare and maintain marine reports, checklists, forms and correspondence.
• Assist in audits, inspections, surveys and vetting activities.
• Maintain records relating to ISM, ISPS, SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, Class and Flag State requirements.
• Monitor the validity and renewal of vessel certificates and documentation.
• Maintain filing and document control for vessel records.
