Job summary

COLUMBIA SHIPMANAGEMENT (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD is seeking a Marine Superintendent to lead fleet operations from Singapore. The role involves supporting the Marine Manager, Masters and crew to meet company standards, and ensuring compliance with the Management System, safety, quality and environmental goals.

Responsibilities include conducting internal and third-party inspections, developing procedures, training needs, and promoting a robust safety culture while maintaining high navigation and cargo

Qualifications

• Seagoing command experience of at least 2 years.
• Good knowledge of international rules and regulations.
• Operational knowledge of ships under supervision.
• Auditing training and experience.
• Incident investigation training and experience.
• Risk management training and practice.
• Experience with marine inspections.
• Strong communication and teamwork, English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist Marine Manager and Masters to operate vessels per Company standards.
• Ensure Management System compliance on vessels and in procedures.
• Develop or amend procedures; promote continual improvement.
• Support navigation, cargo operations, and environmental practices.
• Coordinate training needs identified during visits and inspections.
• Assist during third-party inspections and audits; maintain records.
