Job summary

MINDEF is seeking a strategic Business Architect to support the Business Architecture practice for NS. You will translate objectives into actionable requirements and help shape value delivery for NS stakeholders and population groups.

You will outline objectives, map capabilities and value streams, lead BPR efforts, and support UX research, product communications and change management. A background in public policy or related fields is preferred, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in business architecture or business process re-engineering preferred.
• Proficiency in BPMN 2.0 and value-stream mapping preferred.
• Strong analytical and systems-thinking capabilities.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in public sector or large organisations is advantageous.

Job description

What the role is:

You play a pivotal role in supporting the Business Architecture practice for National Service (NS). You will help shape and translate business objectives into actionable requirements, driving value for NS stakeholders and population groups.

What you will be working on:

• Outline business objectives and the value to be delivered
• Translate objectives into business requirements for product teams
• Map the business capabilities and value streams of NS
• Map the business processes that support the delivery of value to the NS population and stakeholders, and lead Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) efforts
• Support user research and user experience (UX) design
• Support product communications and change management

Challenge(s)

• Driving interconnected and complex business process re-imagination efforts across the organisation
• Translating business problems into desirable, viable, and feasible products in a multi-stakeholder environment

What we are looking for:

• Education in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Public Policy, or a related field is preferred
• Relevant experience in business architecture, business process re-engineering, or a related discipline is preferred
• Experience in a large, complex organisation or public sector environment is advantageous
• Proficiency in business process mapping (BPMN 2.0), business capability modelling, and value stream mapping is preferred
• Familiarity with UX research methodologies and design thinking principles is preferred
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and systems thinking capabilities
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams
• Good communication and writing skills(Applicants with no experience may apply.)
