Job summary

UBERGARD PTE LTD in Singapore seeks a Maintenance Technician to join our field service team, supporting electronic key management systems. You will perform preventive maintenance at customers' premises, provide on-site or remote technical support, and set up new systems and conduct testing and commissioning.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Higher NITEC in electronics or related discipline, has hands-on hardware and network experience, and is willing to travel within Singapore to cover

Qualifications

• Diploma or Higher NITEC in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of and hands-on experience with electrical and electronic hardware, basic Linux and/or Windows operating systems, and IT network setup in corporate environments.
• At least one year of relevant experience in electrical or electronic technical support, field service or system maintenance, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer technical enquiries with clear, professional guidance and timely progress updates.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support to diagnose and resolve reported cases.
• Participate in a rotating duty roster to support the company's 24/7 technical hotline.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance at customers' premises or remotely, as appropriate.
• Set up new systems and conduct system testing and commissioning at customers' premises.
• Train and guide customer administrators and users on system configuration, user enrolment, key access permissions and daily operations.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

About the Role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join überGARD's field service team, supporting our electronic key management systems.

You will carry the preventive maintenance services at customers' premises according to the daily service schedule and provide on-site or remote technical support. You will also set up new systems, conduct system testing and commissioning, and train customer administrators and users on system configuration and daily operation.

The ideal candidate is a responsible, dependable team player who takes ownership of service tasks and delivers responsive, professional support to ensure customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

• Respond to customer technical enquiries and service requests with clear, professional guidance and timely progress updates.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support to diagnose and resolve reported cases.
• Participate in a rotating duty roster to support the company's 24/7 technical hotline.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance at customers' premises or remotely, as appropriate.
• Set up new systems and conduct system testing and commissioning at customers' premises.
• Train and guide customer administrators and users on system configuration, user enrolment, key access permissions and daily operations.
• Complete clear and accurate service reports after each on-site visit, obtain customer acknowledgement, and submit completed reports to the Operations team upon job completed.
• Recommend practical solutions to address customer needs and improve system performance.
• Take ownership of outstanding service requests, following up through to resolution and confirming that reported issues have been resolved.
• Contribute to operating procedures and technical documentation, incorporating system changes and updates as required.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Higher NITEC in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of and hands-on experience with electrical and electronic hardware, basic Linux and/or Windows operating systems, and IT network setup in corporate environments.
• At least one year of relevant experience in electrical or electronic technical support, field service or system maintenance, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively with colleagues and manage assigned service tasks.
• Willingness to travel to customers' premises within Singapore and participate in the rotating 24/7 technical support roster.
• Experience with electronic key management systems would be an advantage.
