Job summary

Chemical Manufacturing in Singapore seeks a Maintenance Engineer to support both building facilities and chemical manufacturing equipment. You will plan preventive maintenance, perform hands-on tasks and coordinate with contractors for upkeep and improvements.

The role requires a degree or diploma in Electrical & Instrumentation/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering with related experience; a LEW and ISO knowledge are advantages. Basic MS Office skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical & Instrumentation/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering with relevant experience.
• Experience in chemical industry is advantageous.
• LEW is an added advantage.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001/45001/9001.
• Proficient with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment.
• Coordinate routine and ad-hoc maintenance for building and utility facilities.
• Perform hands-on maintenance and basic electrical work.
• Assist in installation feasibility studies for new equipment/facilities.
• Liaise with contractors for maintenance/repair works.
• Prepare approvals, training/instruction and installation applications.
• Assist in inventory management and parts procurement.

• Maintenance Engineer (for both building facility and manufacturing equipment) (20132)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordinating preventive maintenance, IMTE / Calibration of the chemical manufacturing equipment.
• Assist in planning and coordinating routine & ad-hoc preventive maintenance work of the building and utility facilities
• Perform hands‑on maintenance work and simple electrical works, where applicable
• Assist in new equipment and building facility installation feasibility studies and planning work thereof
• Liaise with and supervise contractors to arrange for maintenance / repair works.
• Prepare approval document preparation, equipment training instruction, and installation applications to government agencies, and other internal documents
• Assist in inventory management of equipment parts, quotation acquisition, price negotiation, and ordering
• Assist in Technical Department task in carrying on Company’s EHS related activities

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical & Instrumentation/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering with minimum 2 years of experience in related field; or
• Diploma in Electrical & Instrumentation/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering with minimum 5 years of experience in related field.
• Added advantage for experience in chemical company.
• Having a LEW is an added advantage.
• Minimally must have basic understanding of electrical systems and/or electrical instruments.
• Understand Risk Assessment and FMEA
• Able to use auto-CAD is an added advantage
• Have knowledge in Environment, Health and Safety issues.
• Knowledge in ISO14001 and 45001 as well as 9001
• Minimally able to use Microsoft word, excel, powerpoint
