Job summary

HKM HR Management Pte. Ltd. is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Engineer (E&I) to support maintenance and reliability of electrical and instrumentation systems across our Jurong Island facility.

The role is ideal for candidates with relevant engineering qualifications who aim to grow in industrial maintenance and energy environments. You will work with the maintenance team, technicians, contractors and other departments to ensure equipment reliability, safe operation and timely completion of

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• Entry level are welcome to apply.
• Candidates with relevant internship, industrial attachment or hands-on experience in maintenance, E&I, automation, electrical or industrial environments will have an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities for Electrical & Instrumentation equipment and systems.
• Assist in developing and maintaining preventive maintenance programmes to ensure equipment reliability and availability.
• Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
• Assist in identifying equipment faults, analysing failures and recommending appropriate corrective actions.
• Support maintenance activities involving electrical distribution systems, instrumentation, control systems, alarms and related equipment.
• Assist with testing, calibration and functional checks of instrumentation and electrical equipment.
• Review maintenance records, inspection reports and equipment history to identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities.
• Assist in maintenance planning, scheduling and coordination of maintenance activities with technicians, contractors and suppliers.

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer (E&I) to support the maintenance and reliability of electrical and instrumentation systems across the facility.

This is a suitable opportunity for an entry level with relevant Engineering qualifications who are interested in building their career in industrial maintenance, plant engineering, E&I and the energy / petrochemical environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with the maintenance team, technicians, contractors and other departments to ensure equipment reliability, safe operation and timely completion of maintenance activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities for Electrical & Instrumentation equipment and systems.

• Assist in developing and maintaining preventive maintenance programmes to ensure equipment reliability and availability.

• Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of electrical, instrumentation and control systems.

• Assist in identifying equipment faults, analysing failures and recommending appropriate corrective actions.

• Coordinate with contractors and service providers to ensure maintenance works are carried out safely and according to required standards.

• Conduct site inspections to monitor the quality and progress of maintenance and engineering works.

• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company procedures, safety requirements and relevant statutory / regulatory requirements.

• Support internal and external audits, inspections and other compliance activities.

• Prepare maintenance reports, documentation and records accurately.

• Provide technical support to maintenance technicians and assist with troubleshooting of more complex equipment issues.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability, maintenance efficiency and operational performance.

• Perform other maintenance and engineering duties as assigned.
