Job summary

RECRUITMATIC PTE. LTD. is assisting a major chemical manufacturer on Jurong Island to hire an E&I Maintenance Engineer. The role focuses on maintaining electrical, instrumentation and control systems, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement across plant assets.

The successful candidate will plan maintenance activities, manage spares and CMMS records, and coordinate with contractors while upholding safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, instrumentation, electronics, control & automation engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of E&I maintenance experience in chemical, petrochemical, polymer, or manufacturing plants.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for E&I equipment.
• Ensure reliability and availability of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Analyse equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain and troubleshoot switchgear, MCCs, transformers, UPS, generators, VFDs, motors, PLC, DCS, SIS/ESD, HMI, and SCADA systems.
• Manage calibration, loop checks, testing, and system performance improvements.
• Plan and execute E&I turnaround, shutdown, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Support CAPEX projects, plant modifications, and MOC processes.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors to ensure quality, safety, and timely completion.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, regulatory, and plant safety requirements.
• Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts, inventory, technical documentation, and CMMS records.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and continuous improvement support.
• Willing to support plant operations, shutdowns, commissioning, contractor supervision, emergency response, and after-hours call-outs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics, Control & Automation Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of E&I maintenance experience in chemical, petrochemical, polymer, or manufacturing plants.
• Experience with electrical systems, instrumentation, DCS, PLC, SIS, and industrial automation.
• Knowledge of reliability maintenance, RCFA, risk assessment, and MOC processes.
• Proficient in SAP PM, GSAP, CMMS, or equivalent systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
