SWIFT SEARCH GLOBAL PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced M&E Engineer to support coordination, supervision and delivery of Mechanical & Electrical works for building construction projects in Jurong, Singapore.

The role requires collaboration with consultants, clients, subcontractors and project teams to meet project specs, approved drawings and schedules. Candidates with HDB project experience have an advantage.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant M&E building construction experience.
• Experience in HDB or similar large-scale residential projects is advantageous.
• Ability to interpret M&E drawings, specs and technical documentation.
• Strong coordination, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication abilities; able to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate M&E installation works to meet drawings, specifications and project requirements.

M&E Engineer (Building Construction / HDB)

Job Overview

We are seeking experienced M&E Engineers to support the coordination, supervision and delivery of Mechanical & Electrical works for building construction projects.

The successful candidates will work closely with consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers and project teams to ensure M&E works are completed according to project specifications, approved drawings, schedules, quality standards and applicable regulatory requirements.

Candidates with relevant HDB project experience will have an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

M&E Coordination & Site Management

• Liaise with consultants, clients, subcontractors and project teams on the progress and coordination of M&E works.
• Coordinate and supervise M&E installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Monitor site progress and ensure M&E works are carried out according to project schedules.
• Assist the Project Manager on M&E matters, including preparation and monitoring of M&E construction and Testing & Commissioning (T&C) schedules.
• Coordinate M&E works with architectural, structural and other building services trades.
• Identify and resolve technical and site coordination issues with relevant stakeholders.

Technical Documentation & Submissions

• Prepare and coordinate technical submissions with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare method statements, shop drawings, Combined Services Drawings (CSD), installation and T&C checklists, progress reports and other relevant M&E documentation.
• Coordinate and track shop drawings, equipment and material submissions.
• Liaise with relevant authorities, consultants, subcontractors and clients on submissions, inspections, testing and commissioning requirements.
• Prepare daily reports and assist in updating site progress reports.

Materials & Resource Management

• Coordinate the allocation and utilisation of materials, equipment and manpower for M&E works.
• Manage the receipt, transfer and control of M&E construction materials within designated work areas.
• Monitor resources to support efficient project execution and minimise unnecessary wastage.

Quality & Workplace Safety

• Ensure M&E works comply with applicable QA/QC requirements and project quality standards.
• Support the implementation of CONQUAS requirements where applicable.
• Ensure applicable Workplace Safety and Health procedures and project safety requirements are followed.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of Permit-to-Work procedures where applicable.
• Coordinate inspections, testing and commissioning activities.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in M&E building construction works.
• Experience in HDB or similar large-scale residential building construction projects will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of M&E installation, coordination, testing and commissioning processes.
• Familiarity with Singapore building requirements, construction practices and applicable codes and standards will be advantageous.
• Able to interpret M&E drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Strong coordination, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work effectively with consultants, contractors, subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
