Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Approximately 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Mechanical Building Services or M&E Consultancy.
• Experience in ACMV, Plumbing & Sanitary, Fire Protection, or other Mechanical Building Services is a plus.
• Familiarity with Singapore building regulations, codes of practice, and authority submission procedures.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit is advantageous.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Consultancy experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical building services designs for diverse development projects.
• Perform calculations and prepare specifications, tender documents, and design reports.
• Coordinate drawings with architects, structural engineers, and other consultants.
• Assist with authority submissions to BCA, SCDF, PUB, and others as required.
• Engage with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders throughout project execution.
• Attend meetings and provide technical support during design and construction phases.
• Review shop drawings and technical proposals; monitor progress on site.
• Support testing, commissioning, handover, and TOP/CSC completion.

Mechanical Engineer (M&E Consultancy)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: Tanjong Pagar, Singapore

Salary: Up to S$6,000 per month (commensurate with qualifications and experience)

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join an established M&E consultancy providing professional engineering services across commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential developments.

You will be involved in the design, coordination, and delivery of mechanical building services projects from concept through completion, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.

This role offers excellent exposure to building services consultancy, authority submissions, project coordination, construction management, and professional career development.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical building services designs for various development projects.
• Perform engineering calculations and prepare technical specifications, tender documents, and design reports.
• Prepare drawings and coordinate designs with architects, structural engineers, and other consultants.
• Assist with submissions to relevant authorities, including BCA, SCDF, PUB, and other statutory agencies where required.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders throughout project execution.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical support during both design and construction phases.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions, and technical proposals.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor project progress to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, and applicable regulations.
• Assist in testing, commissioning, project handover, and TOP/CSC completion.
• Support the Qualified Person (QP) and senior engineers in delivering projects successfully.
• Perform other duties assigned in support of project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Approximately 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Mechanical Building Services or M&E Consultancy.
• Experience in the design of ACMV, Plumbing & Sanitary, Fire Protection, or other Mechanical Building Services will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with Singapore building regulations, codes of practice, and authority submission procedures.
