Job summary

MS First Capital Insurance Limited in Singapore seeks a highly motivated Transactional Risk Underwriter to join our underwriting team. The role focuses on underwriting M&A-related products, including Warranty & Indemnity and Tax Liability Insurance, with collaboration across MGAs, brokers, reinsurers, lawyers, and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.
• Advanced degrees (JD, LLM, CPA, CFA) are advantageous.
• 3 to 8 years of relevant experience in transactional risk/M&A underwriting.
• Experience in corporate law, due diligence, investment banking, or tax advisory.
• Strong understanding of M&A processes and transaction documentation.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and underwrite risks in M&A transactions including W&I and tax liability insurance.
• Review SPAs, disclosures, and due diligence reports to identify exposures.
• Structure policy terms, coverage, limits, deductibles, and pricing.
• Draft NBIs and wordings; coordinate internal approvals.
• Collaborate with brokers, MGAs, reinsurers, and clients throughout the lifecycle.
• Monitor portfolio performance and ensure regulatory compliance.
