MSIG Singapore is seeking a skilled underwriter to develop and drive the Credit and Political Risks insurance strategy across all distribution channels. You will lead underwriting decisions, referrals to senior management, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize loss ratios and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing and underwriting Credit and Political Risks insurance.
• Familiarity with pricing, referrals, policy wordings and product enhancements is a plus.
• Strong understanding of distribution channels and stakeholder liaison.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Credit and Political Risks insurance strategy, initiatives and plans.
• Underwrite and refer to senior approvals when needed.
• Ensure timely responses to market and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain prudent underwriting while balancing business considerations.
• Collaborate with Governance, Reinsurance, Actuarial and Claims teams to manage loss ratios.
• Negotiate, underwrite, and accept accounts within authority guidelines.
• Engage with market and industry stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and group policies.
