Job summary

GVT Government Technology Agency seeks a Deputy/Assistant Manager to lead cross-border rail regulation initiatives under the Cross-Border Railways Act. You will help ensure safety, reliability, and compliance for cross-border train services and domestic lines, working with rail operators and government partners.

You will analyse regulatory reports, support in audits, assist in data-driven reliability computations, and coordinate stakeholder engagement.

DEPUTY/ ASSISTANT MANAGER, CROSS BORDER RAIL REGULATION

The Cross Border Rail Regulation division is responsible for the oversight of the safety and security regulatory matters for cross border rail projects under the Cross-Border Railways Act, such as the Johor Bahru-Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link. The division also supports the domestic rail lines.

What you will be working on

• Development and review of bilateral regulatory requirements to ensure safe and reliable cross-border train services
• Monitoring of rail operators’ performance in operating and maintaining rail networks, analysing regulatory reports, assessing the reliability of train services, safety verification, and the coordination and facilitation of rail incident investigation
• Support in rail reliability computation processes and data
• Verification of operators’ submissions, and performance of audits
