Job summary

WORLDWIDE LOGISTICS SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. seeks an Operation cum Customer Service Executive to bridge client management and operations in Singapore.

You will handle air, sea, and cross-trade shipments, coordinating with overseas agents, carriers, and local vendors from quotation to delivery and issue resolution. The role requires 1–2 years in logistics, fluent Mandarin and English, and strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum 'O' Level / Diploma / Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma in Business, Maritime, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Language Proficiency: Fluent in Mandarin and English (written & spoken). Essential for communication with Chinese-speaking clients and partners.
• Experience: 1–2 years in freight forwarding, shipping, 3PL, or logistics operations/customer service preferred.
• Skills: High attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and comfort with multiple communication tools and logistics systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for shippers, consignees, overseas agents, and internal stakeholders via phone, email, and messaging platforms.
• Provide accurate and timely updates on shipment tracking, transit times, rates, and service options (FCL/LCL, air express, and cross-trade).
• Handle customer inquiries, prepare competitive quotations, issue service confirmations, and follow up proactively.
• Log, track, and resolve customer service issues and escalations; support root-cause analysis for continuous improvement.
• Handle end-to-end Airfreight and Sea Freight operations, including booking setup, B/L issuance, and job entry into the in-house system.
• Prepare export documentation and apply for all types of customs inward and outward permits.
• Issue customer tax invoices and verify vendor billings to maintain accurate financial record-keeping.
• Manage cross-trade shipment activities associated with the Singapore hub.
• Liaise and negotiate with external vendors (carriers, truckers, and customs brokers) to coordinate smooth cargo movements and ensure competitive service levels.
• Proactively monitor shipments and collaborate with vendors/operations to prevent or manage service disruptions and delays.
• Support network and agent inquiries by providing timely operational quotes and status reports.
