COGENT CONTAINER DEPOT PTE. LTD. is seeking an Admin & Operations Assistant to support daily logistics and depot activities. You will work under the Manager to ensure procedures are followed, assist in cash handling, and coordinate with trucking and shipping teams to maintain smooth operations.

The role emphasizes multi-tasking, effective communication, and proactive reporting on performance, with responsibilities spanning admin, operations, and customer interactions.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Logistics or related field
• At least 2 years admin experience in logistics industry preferably in a container depot
• Good communication skills
• Able to multitask

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager to ensure procedures and requirements are adhered to
• Ensure admin and operations tasks are fulfilled to required standards
• Monitor daily transactions for smooth operation
• Train and develop Admin/Operations staff to maximize potential
• Verify counter transactions and daily cash collection at counters
• Safeguard cash handling by Admin/Operations staff
• Handle daily customer mail correspondences
• Report to manager on daily operations improvements and productivity initiatives
• Report discrepancies, non-compliance, accidents or escalations to manager
• Assist in staff discipline and office operations
• Ensure equipment availability and workflow integrity
• Maintain customer satisfaction and confidence
• Observe performance and address movement and inventory issues
• Ensure gate movements are timely and smooth
• Attend operations meetings with shipping agents
• Track fixed assets and depot facilities
• Coordinate with trucking ops to improve efficiency
• Regulate task prioritization of office team
