Job summary

Direct Search Global is seeking a Logistics Coordinator in Singapore to manage transportation of marine equipment, spare parts, and materials to vessels, shipyards, offshore sites and customer locations.

You will prepare import/export documents, coordinate with freight forwarders and suppliers, and ensure compliance with regulations while maintaining accurate inventory records and timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Prior experience in logistics, shipping coordination or supply chain operations, preferably within the marine, shipping or offshore industry.
• Familiarity with import/export procedures, customs documentation and international freight arrangements.
• Experience coordinating deliveries of marine equipment, spare parts or engineering materials will be an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working with inventory or ERP systems.
• Strong coordination, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple shipments and urgent requests.

Responsibilities

• Logistics Coordination - Coordinate the transportation and delivery of marine equipment, spare parts, tools and materials to vessels, shipyards, offshore locations and customer sites.
• Import & Export Documentation - Prepare and manage shipping documents, delivery orders, packing lists, invoices, permits and customs declarations to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Shipment Arrangement - Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping agents, transport providers and courier companies to arrange local and international shipments, including air freight, sea freight and land transportation.
• Inventory & Warehouse Coordination - Monitor stock movements, maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure the timely availability and dispatch of materials.
• Vessel & Shipyard Support - Coordinate urgent deliveries of spare parts, equipment and supplies to vessels, shipyards and offshore projects, ensuring materials arrive within the required operational timelines.
• Supplier & Internal Coordination - Work closely with procurement, sales, service engineers, project teams and suppliers to track orders, monitor shipment progress and resolve logistics-related issues.
• Cost & Delivery Monitoring - Obtain freight quotations, monitor logistics expenses, track delivery schedules and identify opportunities to improve transportation efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Documentation & Reporting - Maintain accurate logistics records, update shipment tracking reports, verify delivery documentation and ensure proper filing of records for auditing and operational purposes.
