Job summary

BANK OF CHINA LIMITED in Singapore seeks a detail-oriented Payments Operations Analyst to support daily BAU processing across Cheque, GIRO, FAST and PayNow. The role requires accuracy, timely processing, and collaboration with internal teams and service providers.

You will monitor transactions, assist in testing and deployment, and contribute to SOP updates. English and Mandarin communication skills are essential to serve Head Office and external customers in a fast-paced banking environment.

Qualifications

• Familiar with local payment processing (FAST, PayNow, GIRO, Cheque Clearing).
• Minimum diploma or degree with at least 3 years of banking experience in payment processing and testing.
• Good team player, self-motivated and ability to learn fast.
• Effective communication in English and Mandarin to serve internal/external customers and Head Office.
• Good time management and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Meticulous in details and able to complete tasks within the designated timeframe.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Basic knowledge of Payment and AML/CFT will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Daily BAU processing of Cheque, GIRO, DDA Application, Standing Order, Salary Crediting, Insurance Payout, FAST & PayNow related transactions.
• Ensure daily BAU tasks are completed on time and within industry cutoff.
• Ensure accuracy in transaction processing, reconciliation, statistics recording and follow-up on exceptions.
• Provide 24x7 standby/adhoc support for production system maintenance and testing.
• Participate in-house or industry testing/exercises as assigned.
• Review processes and procedures to formulate process improvement, update SOP and user manual.
• Liaise with various business units, internal & external customers, service providers when required.
• Other ad-hoc or administrative tasks as assigned.

• 2. Ensure daily BAU tasks are completed on time and within the industry cutoff time.

• 5. Participate in-house or industry testing/exercise as assigned.

Requirements

• 1. Familiar & experienced with the local payment (FAST, PayNow, GIRO, Cheque Clearing) processing.
• 2. Minimum Diploma or Degree holder with at least 3 years of relevant banking experience in Payment processing and testing.
• 3. Good team player, self-motivated and ability to learn fast.
• 4. Effective communication skill with good interpersonal, written and verbal skills in both English and Mandarin so as to provide services to internal and external customer and Head Office.
• 5. Good time management, able to handle multitask and handle stress in a fast paced environment.
• 6. Meticulous in details and efficient to complete assigned task within the designated timeframe.
