Job summary

SNAZ CATERING PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced cook/kitchen lead to prepare foods to client specifications and oversee kitchen operations for large events. You will ensure proper food service temperature, manage staff, and coordinate with front-of-house.

The role requires expertise in South Indian cuisine, heavy cooking for 1000–3000 pax, and menu development for specials. Daily tasks include ordering ingredients, record-keeping, and maintaining clean preparation areas.

Qualifications

• Experience in South Indian cuisine.
• Experience in heavy cooking for large events (1000–3000 pax).

Responsibilities

• Cleans food preparation areas as required by policy.
• Prepares foods to client specifications.
• Prepares food before guests arrive and seasons according to recipes.
• Manages other kitchen staff and liaises with front-of-house for proper service temperature.
• Orders ingredients and spices as needed and keeps records of purchases.
• Operates kitchen appliances such as blender, oven, grill, or stand mixer.
• Ports, arranges, and garnishes food per client preference; assists other cooks.
• Devises new recipes and estimates expected consumption for events.
• Stays open until the last customer leaves and offers a creative menu.
