Job summary

Capgemini Singapore is seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer to join a team building and supporting a large-scale national trade platform that processes millions of transactions annually across import, export, and transshipment activities.

You will contribute to the design, development, and operation of highly available, secure, and scalable systems while collaborating with engineers and stakeholders across product and business domains.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Significant experience in software engineering for enterprise-scale or high-transaction systems.
• Strong fundamentals across design, architecture, testing, CI/CD, observability, and security.
• Experience deploying and operating applications in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and support software products and platform capabilities.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Drive software delivery from design through testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
• Troubleshoot issues and participate in incident response and restoration activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, security, tooling, and practices.
• Advocate technical solutions through data-driven discussions and sound engineering judgement.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Mentor and support fellow engineers with knowledge sharing and guidance.
