Job summary

GovTech is seeking a Senior Manager, Payment Technology to lead the design and execution of a robust payment backbone for real-time transactions across government motoring services. You will drive end‑to‑end payment flows, from capture to settlement, and coordinate with banks, processors, and internal teams to deliver trusted, user‑friendly experiences.

You will champion security and compliance, applying standards like PCI DSS and MAS TRM while navigating a complex regulatory landscape.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in digital payments.
• Experience with authorisation, clearing, settlement and in-house reconciliation.
• Ability to design systems from scratch, draw sequence diagrams, and explain technical choices.

Responsibilities

• Shape the payment backbone: drive the technical direction for capture, authorisation, clearing and settlement.
• Define how systems connect and talk to one another; design interfaces and sequence diagrams.
• Bridge with payment agents and processors to integrate rails and ensure broad acceptance of digital payment methods.
• Design flows to settle and reconcile across providers and banks with accuracy.
• Act as a conduit between vendors, engineers and leadership to align tech with business goals.
