Job summary

Synapxe is seeking a Lead End User Computing (EUC) Engineer to provide advanced technical support and lead the implementation and maintenance of EUC systems in Singapore. The role demands leadership, strong communication, and the ability to guide a team, mentor engineers, and collaborate with other IT teams to improve service delivery.

You will manage complex tickets, deploy hardware and software, ensure security and disaster recovery, and report on system performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent in IT.
• 8+ years working in IT with 5+ years in a leading position.
• Experience supporting end-user computing environment with >1000 users.
• Experience in large-scale migrations or upgrades of end-user computing environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Lead the deployment and integration of new hardware and software systems; perform acceptance testing.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of end user computing systems; enforce security measures and audits.

Position Summary:

A Lead End User Computing (EUC) Engineer provides advanced technical support and leads the implementation and maintenance of end user computing systems. This role involves troubleshooting complex issues, optimizing system performance, and ensuring the security and reliability of end user environments. Have strong leadership and communication abilities and can set realistic goals and implement appropriate plans to guide the team toward achieving those goals. The Lead EUC Engineer also mentors junior team members and collaborates with other IT teams to enhance service delivery. This role primarily supports the specialty centres of Singapore Health Services.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Advanced Technical Support:

• Provide expert-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Respond to, document, and resolve complex service tickets in a timely manner.
• Assist users with advanced installations, configurations, and troubleshooting.

System Implementation and Maintenance:

• Lead the deployment and integration of new hardware and software systems.
• Conduct acceptance testing and ensure compatibility with existing infrastructure.
• Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and backups.

Performance and Security Management:

• Monitor and optimize the performance of end user computing systems.
• Implement and enforce security measures and conduct regular audits.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures.

Issue Resolution:

• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, performing root cause analysis.
• Develop and implement preventive measures to reduce the occurrence of issues.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to address and resolve cross-functional problems.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior EUC engineers.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
• Assist in the development of support documentation and training materials.

Collaboration and Reporting:

• Work with cross-functional teams to understand and meet support requirements.
• Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations and support activities.
• Prepare and present reports on system performance, issues, and resolutions.

Stakeholder management and users engagement:

• Work with business partners to understand specific institutional environment.
• Engage users to gather feedback for service improvement
• Manage stakeholders with regular communications.

Requirements/ Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent in IT
• At least 8 years working in IT with 5 years in a leading position
• Have supervisory experience in leading a team of engineers
• Experienced in supporting end users computing environment with > 1000 users.
• Experienced in large scale migration or upgrading projects of end users computing environment
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Apple iOS and Andriod
• Experienced in supporting senior management will be an advantage
• Basic budgeting and financial concepts in an organization
• Strong stakeholder and vendor management
• Able to support 24/7 standby
• 2 years contract
