Job summary

NetEase Games is seeking a senior Animation Technical Lead to drive R&D and quality breakthroughs for the runtime animation system in a premier PvP shooter project. You will enhance character movement, aiming, weapon handling, and overall shooting feel.

You will design, validate, and implement core solutions for aiming and weapon handling, procedural animation, animation graphs, and state orchestration, while setting standards and driving cross-team execution.

Qualifications

• Many years of experience in game animation and animation TA R&D.
• Experience in runtime animation development for top-tier FPS projects preferred.
• Deep understanding of the feel and runtime performance of dual-perspective shooting games.
• Ability to independently drive design, R&D and delivery of core animation systems.
• Matrix-style technical leadership capability and standard-setting.
• Experience with multiple engines and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical R&D and quality breakthroughs of the runtime animation system for a high-end PvP shooter, improving movement, aiming, weapon handling, and combat states.
• Design, validate, and implement core solutions for aiming, weapon handling, procedural animation, animation graphs, and state orchestration.
• Establish animation technical specifications, review standards, and problem-diagnosis methods to enable stable mass production and iterative improvements.
• Collaborate with animation, programming, and game design teams to translate technical solutions into actionable plans and cross-team execution.
• Lead and mentor the animation TA team, set technical standards, coach on complex issues, and drive capability building while prioritizing project delivery.
