Job summary

Temasek Holdings in Singapore seeks an experienced AI engineer to build agentic AI solutions in collaboration with investment and operations teams. You will work directly with users to understand needs, prototype, and bring capabilities to production.

You will design end-to-end agent orchestration, tool calling, RAG, and enterprise data integrations, balancing performance, cost, and safety. Strong software skills and production-ready delivery are required.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years in AI/ML engineering and hands-on delivery of LLM-powered products in production.
• Track record of building products directly with end users: discovery, prototyping, and iterating based on feedback.
• Production-grade code across the stack: Python (FastAPI) and TypeScript (React/Next.js), with cloud deployment, containers, and CI/CD.
• Hands-on experience with agentic frameworks and SDKs such as LangGraph, Claude Agent SDK, or OpenAI Agents SDK, plus LLM evaluation and observability tooling.
• Comfort working with senior professionals without a PM in the room, and the ability to challenge requests when needed.
• Curiosity about investment and operations domains and willingness to learn deeply.
• Clear communication with engineers and non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with investment and operations teams to understand workflows and shape problems before building.
• Prototype quickly in front of users and iterate based on feedback, moving from prototype to production.
• Design and build end-to-end agentic AI systems: orchestration, tool calling, retrieval, UIs, and enterprise data integrations.
• Establish evaluation sets, test cases, and guardrails with domain experts’ input.
• Run production systems with strong observability, robust testing, and safe failure modes with escalation paths.
• Monitor adoption post-launch and identify areas for improvement and scaling.
• Create reusable components and tools for Temasek MCP server ecosystem.
• Explain trade-offs in accuracy, latency, cost, and limitations to non-technical stakeholders.
