Job summary

HTX in Singapore seeks a software/algorithm engineer to advance in-house UAS autonomy within the RAUS CoE. You will design and validate GNC algorithms, develop path planning and multi-robot strategies, and translate research into deployable solutions.

Responsibilities include sensor interfaces, software integration, and rigorous testing via simulation and flight trials, with documentation of results and findings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in software/algorithm development for UAS.
• Experience in guidance, navigation and controls and multi-robot systems preferred.
• Strong C/C++ and Python skills for robotics applications.
• Familiarity with Gazebo, AirSim or similar simulators.
• Knowledge of PX4/ArduPilot architectures and interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and validate GNC algorithms for UAVs.
• Develop path planning, trajectory generation and multi-agent coordination.
• Translate research concepts into practical algorithms.
• Evaluate performance via simulation and flight testing.
• Integrate flight controller software/firmware and onboard sensors.
• Support system integration, debugging and verification through testing.
• Document architectures, designs and test results clearly.
• Communicate findings and tradeoffs to the team and stakeholders.
