Job summary

Jobtailor in Singapore seeks an RF engineer to lead the design and integration of CUAS sensor subsystems, focusing on RF detection, classification, and tracking. You will perform spectrum surveys, develop drone-signature algorithms, and drive data fusion across radar, EO/IR, and acoustic sensors.

You will collaborate with hardware and software teams, author CONOPS and test plans, and support live demonstrations. Expect occasional extended hours and liaison with government partners.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or related technical field.
• 3 years of RF engineering, signal analysis, or electronic warfare experience.
• Expertise in RF spectrum analysis, signal classification, and protocol decoding (Wi-Fi/ISM).
• Experience with CUAS platforms, sensor fusion, or defence systems.
• Strong systems integration background (RF front ends, SDRs, embedded systems).
• Proficient with MATLAB, GNU Radio, SDRs (Ettus/USRP, HackRF, BladeRF) and spectrum analyzers.
• Willing to support high-priority operational events and irregular hours.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and documentation skills.
• Experience in machine learning for RF signal classification.
• Familiar with DoD systems engineering frameworks and MIL-STD testing protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of RF-based detection, classification, and tracking for CUAS.
• Conduct RF surveys, characterize signatures, and develop drone signal algorithms.
• Integrate RF and non-RF sensors into a unified CUAS platform; optimize data fusion.
• Collaborate with software/hardware teams to ensure interoperability and readiness.
• Provide on-site support for live demonstrations and critical deployments.
• Author technical docs including CONOPS, interface-control docs, and test plans.
• Lead or contribute to system validation and MIL-STD testing protocols.
• Liaise with government customers and partners to refine requirements.
• Maintain current knowledge of RF protocols, spectrum regulations, and counter-drone tech.
