SGS TESTING & CONTROL SERVICES SINGAPORE PTE LTD is looking for an experienced Laboratory Manager to lead daily laboratory operations, ensure quality and accreditation standards, and support business growth.

This role emphasizes resource planning, coaching staff, driving continuous improvement, audits, safety and compliance, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant science/engineering discipline.
• Minimum 8 years in laboratory operations, testing, QA, or similar.
• Minimum 3 years of people management experience.
• Experience managing accredited labs and quality systems.
• Strong understanding of lab workflows and operational management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily laboratory operations to ensure timely service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, quality standards, and policies.
• Monitor KPIs, budgets, and resource utilization; drive optimization.
• Plan, coach, and develop laboratory staff; manage performance.
• Lead internal/external audits and close audit findings promptly.
• Support business development with technical input and stakeholder collaboration.
