Job summary

EUROFINS CENTRAL LABORATORY PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a seasoned Lab Coordinator to oversee daily activities in a central/clinical lab, act as advisor to Laboratory Management, and be the first point of contact for team questions.

Responsibilities include planning lab activities, supervising equipment operation, ensuring safety, liaising with MOH and CGO on regulations, maintaining quality standards, troubleshooting, and overseeing inventory and tissue banking tasks.

Qualifications

Minimum 8-10 years' work experience in a central lab or clinical laboratory.
Proficient in MS Office and the software packages of laboratory devices.
Experience using Biorad URT or similar applications.
Troubleshooting related to assays, QC or PT failures.
Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences, Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry or Microbiology.
Adheres to SOPs and ISO quality systems in daily work.
Keeps knowledge up to date with latest developments in the field.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily activities and supervise the execution of work within the department.
Plan laboratory activities and schedule resources.
Ensure compliance with safety rules within the department.
Monitor the operation of laboratory equipment.
Serve as the point of contact for Laboratory Technicians and Management.
Coordinate daily tasks, answer questions and solve problems.
Monitor quality to ensure standards are met.
Resolve complex problems and issue investigations.
Oversee inventory management including imports and licenses as appropriate.
Report results within the defined turnaround time with sponsors.
Act as PPIC for tissue banking activities as required by MOH.
Liaise with MOH and CGO on MOH regulations and approvals.
