Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Lab Systems Support Specialist to provide first-level hands-on support for laboratory software and instrument integration. You will oversee daily lab activities, manage user accounts, coordinate hardware issues with desktop support, and liaise with regulatory bodies and partner institutions to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• GxP compliance knowledge in regulated environments.
• CSV validation principles and documentation.
• Laboratory instrumentation knowledge and operation.
• Analytical techniques familiarity for lab testing.
• Lab software systems to manage data and workflows.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and writing skills.
• Excellent communication for cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with SOPs and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with ITSM ticketing tools (ServiceNow/Remedy).
• Knowledge of quality management processes (CAPA, deviation, change).

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level hands & feet support for lab software systems.
• Oversee daily lab activities including scheduling and maintenance.
• Act as liaison between the lab and external entities.
• Manage user accounts and access controls.
• Coordinate hardware issues with desktop support and vendors.
• Coordinate during system hardware failures and maintenance.
• Backup and restoration for lab systems and data.
• Assist in software upgrades and SOP updates.
• Ensure system validation and audit trails per SOPs.
• Support GLP, GMP, and FDA regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with QA, IT, and lab analysts to improve workflows.
