Job summary

Public Service Division is seeking a capable support staff to assist in procurement, asset management, and facilities maintenance across labs and classrooms. You will source quotations, process procurement requests in the ITE system, and track deliveries through Goods Received.

You will register and manage assets, support transfers, and handle retirement requests, ensuring compliance and accuracy. You will provide first-line support for lab equipment and PCs, coordinate repairs with IT, and

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of relevant working experience.
• Technical credentials would be advantageous.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Familiarity with procurement processes and systems.
• Proficiency in asset management, including tracking and retirement processes.
• Technical expertise in lab equipment, PCs, and software maintenance.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with IT support for technical facilities.
• Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations in an academic setting.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement matters: sourcing quotations, submitting requests through the ITE financial system, and tracking deliveries to Goods Received.
• Manage asset officer tasks: asset/store registration, description/serial updates, transfers, and issuing assets to staff; retirement processing.
• Handle asset/store condemnation exercises per policies.
• Support training facilities: maintain lab equipment/PCs/software, arrange repairs from quotation to payment, oversee software installation and maintenance with IT.
• Oversee lab/classroom facilities maintenance: lighting, AV systems, furniture; monitor first aid supplies; raise small works orders for electrical, LAN, paint, and W&B.
