Job summary

Avensys Consulting Pte Ltd is seeking a seasoned Level 2 Production Support Engineer to support financial domain applications on a 12 months contract in Singapore. You will combine deep technical skills with analytical problem-solving to ensure high availability and performance in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities include incident analysis and resolution, RCAs with Level 3 teams, monitoring using Splunk and AppDynamics, and building automation scripts in Python.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of hands-on production support experience in the financial domain.
• Strong understanding of Azure fundamentals with AKS experience.
• Proficiency in SQL for troubleshooting and data analysis.
• Automation and scripting experience, preferably Python.
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools such as Splunk and AppDynamics.
• Familiarity with BI tools Tableau/Power BI/Business Objects is a plus.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiar with ITIL processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for production apps in financial domain with incident analysis and resolution within SLAs.
• Perform root cause analysis and coordinate with Level 3 for long-term fixes.
• Monitor application health using Splunk, AppDynamics, and other tools.
• Develop automation scripts (Python) to streamline tasks.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to investigate data issues.
• Collaborate with business/ops to communicate status and minimize impact.
• Contribute to runbooks and SOPs to improve efficiency.
• Participate in on-call rotations for production systems.
• Keep up-to-date with new tech and best practices.
• Collaborate with reporting/analytics using Tableau/Power BI/BO for analysis.
