Job summary

Vinayak Scaffold & Services Pte Ltd is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support practical culinary lessons for NFS Teachers and students. You will prepare ingredients, ensure stock accuracy and maintain hygiene standards in the kitchen.

Ideal candidate has PSLE, FSC Level 1, and at least 3 years’ experience in a secondary school setting, with good English and strong teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• PSLE qualification.
• Valid FSC Level 1 Certificate.
• At least 3 years’ relevant experience as an FCE/NFS Kitchen Assistant in a Secondary School.
• Basic culinary and mathematical skills.
• Good English communication skills.
• Independent, responsible and able to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist NFS Teachers during practical culinary lessons and guide students on food preparation and safety.
• Prepare and portion ingredients, equipment and utensils before lessons.
• Receive and check food deliveries and maintain proper stock records.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, kitchen safety, cleanliness and organisation.
• Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, appliances and resources.
• Support students and teachers during lessons and perform other duties assigned by NFS Teachers.

• Valid WSQ Food Safety Course (FSC) Level 1 Certificate.

• Good English communication skills.
• Independent, responsible and able to work well in a team.

Working Hours

• Mon–Thu: 7:30am–3:30pm
• Fri: 7:30am–12:30pm
• No work on weekends and gazetted public holidays.
• Occasional extended hours up to 6:30pm may be required.
