Job summary

SEACARE MANPOWER SERVICES PTE LTD is seeking a Food Lab Assistant to support culinary lessons in a secondary school, handle ingredient prep, and ensure food safety practices are followed.

The role requires PSLE, FSC Level 1, and at least three years’ experience in a school kitchen, with good English and a collaborative mindset. Working hours are Monday to Thursday mornings and Fridays, with occasional longer days.

• Valid WSQ Food Safety Course (FSC) Level 1 Certificate
• Minimum 3 years' relevant experience as an FCE/NFS Kitchen Assistant in a secondary school
• Basic culinary and mathematical skills
• Good English communication skills
• Responsible, independent and a good team player

Responsibilities

• Support NFS Teachers during culinary lessons and promote food safety practices
• Prepare and portion ingredients and equipment for lessons
• Receive food supplies and maintain inventory/stock records
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and safety standards across the preparation room and kitchens
• Check and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils and supplies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Food Lab Assistant

Salary: $1,664/month

Contract: 10 months | Jan 2027 - Nov 2027

Working Hours: Mon-Thu, 7.30am-3.30pm | Fri, 7.30am-12.30pm

Working Schedule

No service required on weekends and gazetted public holidays

Occasional extended hours up to 6.30pm may be required on fewer than 10 days per year, with advance notice where possible
