Job summary

ATOP Academy PTE. LTD. seeks a dedicated JC Mathematics tutor to plan and deliver lessons aligned with the Singapore MOE JC syllabus. The role focuses on assessing learning needs and tailoring lesson plans to optimise outcomes, covering algebra, geometry, and statistics.

The tutor will guide students in problem-solving, mark assignments, and provide constructive feedback, preparing them for school assessments while fostering confidence and precision in thinking.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of JC mathematical concepts and problem-solving methods.
• Familiarity with the Singapore MOE JC Mathematics syllabus and assessment requirements.

• Teach mathematical concepts in areas such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, and probability.
• Guide students in applying mathematical methods, logical reasoning, and problem-solving strategies.
• Teach JC Mathematics according to the tutor’s expertise.
• Mark assignments, monitor student progress, and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Prepare students for school assessments and national examinations.
• Develop students’ confidence, accuracy, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Create a positive, engaging, and disciplined learning environment.
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding students’ academic progress.
• Develop teaching resources, lesson materials, and classroom activities.

Requirements

• GCE A-Level, Diploma, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Education, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of JC mathematical concepts and problem-solving methods.
• Familiarity with the Singapore MOE JC Mathematics syllabus and assessment requirements.
• Ability to teach JC Mathematics is preferred.
• Passion for teaching and supporting JC school students.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• Responsible, patient, enthusiastic, and committed to student success.
• Prior teaching or tutoring experience is an advantage but not required.
