Job summary

You will teach grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, listening, and speaking, while building confidence and critical thinking. Excellent communication with parents and commitment to academic excellence are valued.

Qualifications

• GCE A-Level, Diploma, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Education, English, or a related field.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Familiarity with the Singapore MOE JC GP syllabus and assessment requirements.
• Passion for teaching and supporting JP school students.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging GP lessons aligned with the Singapore MOE JC syllabus.
• Assess students’ learning needs and customise lesson plans to maximise learning outcomes.
• Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, continuous writing, situational writing, listening, and oral communication skills.
• Strengthen students’ critical reading, argument development, and effective written and spoken communication.
• Mark assignments, monitor student progress, and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Prepare students for school assessments and national examinations.
• Develop students’ confidence, critical thinking, and ability to express ideas clearly.
• Create a positive, engaging, and disciplined learning environment.
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding students’ academic progress.
• Develop teaching resources, lesson materials, and classroom activities.
• Uphold ATOP Academy’s teaching standards, values, and commitment to academic excellence.
