Job summary

Toss-Ex Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineering Lead to drive project delivery and provide technical leadership across teams. You will mentor peers, define best practices, and ensure high-quality software across cloud-native applications.

The role involves collaboration with business analysts and architects, development of scalable software, and active participation in design reviews and deployment planning.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Minimum 3 years of leading a development team.
• Strong knowledge of Java/J2EE and architecture/design.
• Extensive experience with Java frameworks/SDK, TypeScript, and dev tools.
• Strong DB skills with RDMS (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL) or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with REST, RPC, MVC, Hibernate, and API patterns.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks (Angular/Knockout/Node.js).
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• BSc/BA in CS/Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of security standards for web apps; browser compatibility.
• Cloud deployment knowledge (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Experience with React and Java backend integration is a plus.
• Understanding Agile methodologies is advantageous.

Requirements:

Qualifications

• 10+ years work experience with the following languages and tools:
• With minimum 3 years experiences leading the development team
• Good working knowledge in on Java/J2EE and/or Edge browsing Technologies in terms of architecture and design.
• Extensive experience with Java framework/SDK, TypeScripts and development tools.
• Strong Java development experience wth RDMS like oracle , mssql, mysql or mongoDB
• Strong understanding of development methodologies, testing practices, and tools and knowing when to apply each method to achieve the desired outcomes
• Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC, Api, MVC, hibernate)
• Client/Server scripting framework (JavaScript, angular.js, knockout.js, node.js)
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of security standards and techniques for web applications
• Understand browser-specific compatibility issues
• Expertise in the design, implementation, and deployment of user-centric software, with focus on usability
• Certification in Java or equivalent
• Understanding and practicing Agile methodologies will be added advantages
• Familiar with Cloud application deployment such as (azure, aws or google cloud).
• Experience in React and java backend integration will be added advantages
