Job summary

TOSS-EX PR PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our development team. You will work on web applications using Java/J2EE, .NET, and modern frameworks, contributing to both front-end and back-end components.

The role involves developing and testing web applications, designing and unit testing code, and collaborating with senior developers on issues, manuals, and deployment tasks. AWS cloud deployment experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years work experience with Java development
• Experience with Java/J2EE and .NET
• Experience with Java frameworks/SDK and front-end or back-end development
• Strong RDMS experience (Oracle/MSSQL/MySQL/MongoDB)
• Understanding of REST/RPC/API/MVC/Hibernate
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks (JavaScript, Angular/Knockout/Node/React)
• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Knowledge of security standards for web apps
• Ability to troubleshoot and communicate effectively
• Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus
• Certifications like Java/React are a plus
• Cloud deployment experience on AWS is a plus

Responsibilities

• Report to development team lead.
• Develop and test Web applications based on Java technologies with project team.
• Design, develop, and unit test applications per established standards.
• Assist senior developers in analyzing and resolving issues.
• Prepare manuals, specifications and other technical documents.
• Package and support deployment releases.
• Develop and refine integrations between applications.
• Collect user requirements, develop user stories, and estimates.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years work experience with the following languages and tools:

• Proven experience as a Java Developer
• Good working knowledge in on Java/J2EE, .NET
• Extensive experience with Java framework/SDK, front end or backend development.
• Strong Java development experience with RDMS like oracle or MSSQL , or my sql, mongoDB
• Good understanding of development methodologies, testing practices, and tools and knowing when to apply each method to achieve the desired outcomes
• Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC, Api, MVC, hibernate)
• Client/Server scripting framework (Javascript, angular.js, knockout.js, node.js, React js)
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of security standards and techniques for web applications
• Understand browser-specific compatibility issues
• Expertise in the design, implementation, and deployment of user-centric software, with focus on usability

Certificationin Java, React or equivalent

Experiencein deploying application on Cloud (AWS) will be added advantages

• Understanding and practicing Agile methodologies will be added advantages
