Job summary

TOSS-EX PR PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced software leader to guide development, mentor teammates, and ensure high-quality cloud-native solutions.

You will collaborate with analysts and architects to design and implement scalable software, while driving best practices and timely delivery. The role requires strong Java/J2EE, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks, plus hands-on experience with cloud deployment and Agile practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Minimum 3 years leading development teams.
• Strong Java/J2EE and web-architecture knowledge.
• Extensive Java framework/SDK and TypeScript experience.
• Experience with front-end JS (Angular, Knockout, Node).
• Cloud deployment experience with Azure/AWS/GCP.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and testing practices.
• Security standards for web applications.
• Browser compatibility understanding.
• Bachelor’s or higher in IT/CS/Engineering; Java certification is a plus.

Job description

• Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery.
• Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship.
• Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
• Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
• Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts and software architects to plan and design viable software solutions.
• develop, test, and maintain web/desktop-based business applications built on Cloud native technologies.
• Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans.
• Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software.
• Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.
• Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.
• Package and support deployment of releases.
• Work with teammates in the migration of legacy applications to potential tech refresh technologies.
• Develop, refine, and tune integrations between applications.
• Analyze and resolve technical and application problems.
• Assess opportunities for application and process improvement and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties.
• Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget.
• Research and evaluate a variety of software products

Requirements:

• Qualifications
• 10+ years work experience with the following languages and tools:
• With minimum 3 years experiences leading the development team
• Good working knowledge in on Java/J2EE and/or Edge browsing Technologies in terms of architecture and design.
• Extensive experience with Java framework/SDK, TypeScripts and development tools.
• Strong Java development experience wth RDMS like oracle , mssql, mysql or mongoDB
• Strong understanding of development methodologies, testing practices, and tools and knowing when to apply each method to achieve the desired outcomes
• Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC, Api, MVC, hibernate)
• Client/Server scripting framework (JavaScript, angular.js, knockout.js, node.js)
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of security standards and techniques for web applications
• Understand browser-specific compatibility issues
• Expertise in the design, implementation, and deployment of user-centric software, with focus on usability
• Certification in Java or equivalent
• Understanding and practicing Agile methodologies will be added advantages
• Familiar with Cloud application deployment such as (azure, aws or google cloud).
• Experience in React and java backend integration will be added advantages
