Job summary

Qualifications

• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years work experience in software development.
• Minimum 3 years leading a development team.
• Strong Java/J2EE and TypeScript experience.
• Extensive experience with Java frameworks and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with REST, RPC, MVC, and Hibernate architectures.
• Proficient in JavaScript frameworks (AngularJS, Knockout.js, Node.js) and React integration.
• Understanding Agile methodologies and cloud deployment (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud).
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery.
• Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship.
• Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
• Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts and software architects to plan and design viable software solutions.develop, test, and maintain web/desktop-based business applications built on Cloud native technologies.

• Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software.

Requirements

• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field- Knowledge of security standards and techniques for web applications
• 10+ years work experience with the following languages and tools
• With minimum 3 years experiences leading the development team-
• Good working knowledge in on Java/J2EE and/or Edge browsing Technologies in terms of architecture and design.
• Extensive experience with Java framework/SDK, TypeScripts and development tools.
• Strong Java development experience wth RDMS like oracle , mssql, mysql or mongoDB-
• Strong understanding of development methodologies, testing practices, and tools and knowing when to apply each method to achieve the desired outcomes
• Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC, Api, MVC, hibernate)-
• Client/Server scripting framework (JavaScript, angular.js, knockout.js, node.js)
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills-
• Certification in Java or equivalent
• Understanding and practicing Agile methodologies will be added advantages
• Familiar with Cloud application deployment such as (azure, aws or google cloud).
• Experience in React and java backend integration will be added advantages
