Job summary

Jointhire Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a senior leader to drive sales and corporate functions in Singapore. You will develop strategic plans for logistics services, oversee P&L, and coordinate with Japan HQ and overseas offices to align goals and execute initiatives.

The role requires strong leadership, cross-border experience, and proficiency in Japanese. You will lead IT-enabled improvements and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering measurable business growth.

Qualifications

• At least 9–10 years in logistics or freight forwarding with proven sales and corporate leadership.
• Experience in a Japanese company environment is preferred.
• Regional exposure including Singapore/SEA and overseas markets; cross-border operations.
• Business-level Japanese to liaise with Japanese stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage sales and corporate functions in Singapore to drive growth and operational excellence.
• Develop and execute customized business and sales strategies for logistics services to grow revenue.
• Oversee full P&L responsibilities including budgeting and performance monitoring.
• Lead and coordinate multiple departments to enhance teamwork and performance.
• Align strategies and report progress by coordinating with Japan Headquarters and overseas offices.
• Drive operational improvements via digitalization and IT initiatives to boost efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, governance standards, and local regulations.
• Handle other ad hoc duties/projects as assigned by the company.

Job Description

• - Manage sales and corporate functions in Singapore to achieve operational excellence and drive measurable business growth
• - Develop and execute customized business and sales strategies for logistics services to increase revenue and expand market share
• - Oversee full P&L responsibilities including budgeting, financial planning, and performance monitoring to meet profitability targets
• - Lead and coordinate multiple departments to foster collaboration and enhance team performance
• - Align strategies and report business progress accurately by coordinating with Japan Headquarters and overseas offices
• - Drive operational improvements by implementing digitalization and IT initiatives to increase efficiency and competitiveness
• - Ensure compliance with internal policies, governance standards, and local regulations to mitigate operational risks
• - Required competencies and certifications
• - Other ad hoc duties/projects as assigned by the company

Job Requirements

• - At least 9 - 10 years of experience in the logistics or freight forwarding industry
• - Experience within the Japanese company environment is preferred
• - Proven management experience covering both sales and corporate functions to deliver measurable business results
• - Regional experience, including Singapore, SEA or other overseas market to oversee cross-border operations, market dynamics and to navigate diverse business environments
• - Business-level proficiency in Japanese language to facilitate communication with Japanese stakeholders
• - Knowledge of IT systems, digital transformation (DX) initiatives, or business process improvement to support innovation
• - Strong leadership, decision‑making, and execution skills to guide teams and implement strategies effectively

Compensation

• - Work location: Central, Singapore
• - Working hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm
