Job summary

EQUATORIAL MARINE FUEL MANAGEMENT SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking an IT Systems Officer to manage and support our Microsoft 365 cloud environment and related IT infrastructure.

The role covers on-site, remote, and vessel environments with a focus on security, reliability, and performance. You will research, design, deploy 365 solutions, administer Intune and Defender, and provide Level 1/2 support, including after-hours standby and overseas travel when required.

Qualifications

• At least two years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 environments.
• More than 3 years of Level 1/2 IT support in a medium-sized or large enterprise.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Intune and Defender.
• Strong customer service, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to provide after-hours standby support and travel overseas when required.
• Experience supporting network and firewall solutions in an enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Independently research, design, develop and deploy Microsoft 365 solutions.
• Administer the Microsoft 365 environment to maintain service availability, reliability and security.
• Configure, support and maintain Intune and Defender capabilities.
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 helpdesk support, including remote assistance.
• Participate in after-hours standby roster as required.
• Monitor system health, test and review performance and security.
• Plan deployment and lifecycle management of IT hardware.
• Perform updates, backups and restorations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve system functionality and user experience.
• Coordinate onboarding/offboarding activities for new hires.
• Create and maintain system documentation and end-user guides.
• Provide high-quality technical support and liaise with vendors onsite and remotely.
• Travel overseas for ad hoc IT support as needed.
• Support IT procurement and asset inventories.

Job description

The IT Systems Officer provides professional technical support and administration for the organization's Microsoft 365 cloud environment and related IT infrastructure. The role helps maintain secure, reliable and high-performing services while delivering responsive support to users in office, remote and vessel environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently research, design,develop and deploy Microsoft 365 solutions that support business and operational requirements.
• Administer the Microsoft 365environment to maintain service availability, reliability, security and performance.
• Configure, support and maintain Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Defender capabilities in accordance with organisational requirements.
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2helpdesk support, including remote assistance and troubleshooting.
• Participate in an after-hours and weekend standby support roster, where required.
• Monitor system health and regularly review, analyse and test systems to identify performance,availability and security issues.
• Plan and coordinate the deployment, replacement and lifecycle management of IT hardware.
• Perform and verify system updates, backups and restorations, as required.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve system functionality, service quality and user experience.
• Coordinate IT onboarding and offboarding activities for new hires and departing employees.
• Create and maintain system configuration records, operating procedures, process documentation and end-user guides.
• Provide high-quality technical support and coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues both onsite and remotely, including onboard vessels.
• Travel overseas when required to provide ad hoc IT support.
• Support IT procurement activities, including sourcing, vendor coordination, quotation review and order follow-up.
• Maintain accurate hardware and software asset inventories.
• Complete and document daily,monthly and annual IT operational checks.

Minimum Requirements

• At least two years of hands-on experience administering and supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
• More than 3 years of experience providing Level 1 and Level 2 IT support in a medium-sized or large enterprise environment.
• Working knowledge of MicrosoftIntune and Microsoft Defender.
• Strong customer service,communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
• At least two years of technical exposure of supporting network and firewall solutions in a small or medium-sized enterprise environment.
• Willingness to provideafter-hours standby support and travel overseas when operationally required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft 365 Administrator certification or an equivalent Microsoft certification.
• Microsoft Azure Administrator certification or an equivalent Microsoft certification.
• Experience supporting users and IT equipment in maritime, offshore or vessel environments.
