IT Specialist - In-House

Salary: From $7,000

Work Location: Raffles Place

Working Hours: 5 days week (Mon - Fri)

Job Summary

The IT Specialist will be the sole person in charge of technology for a licensed fund management company. This role handles all daily IT operations, including user support, system and device management, network reliability, cybersecurity monitoring, incident handling, backups, and coordination with external IT service providers.

The role ensures that all IT systems are stable, secure, and ready for audits, with proper documentation of systems, risks, and controls. The IT Specialist will regularly update management on technology issues, risks, and changes. Experience in financial services is preferred, and knowledge of data or AI governance is a plus.

Role & Responsibilities

• Act as the main contact for all IT-related matters, for both office-based and remote staff.
• Manage and support all user devices and core business applications, ensuring they are secure and up to date.
• Oversee network infrastructure and systems to ensure reliable performance.
• Monitor on-premise and cloud systems, resolving issues promptly.
• Ensure secure and stable connections with external platforms such as trading, market data, and research systems.
• Manage user access rights and conduct regular access reviews in line with company policies.
• Lead incident response activities, including drills, and document root causes and follow-up actions.
• Maintain and test backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
• Manage the relationship with the managed service provider (MSP), including service quality, reports, follow-ups, and cost tracking.
• Conduct regular service reviews with the MSP to assess performance and improvements.
• Maintain and update IT policies, procedures, and documentation, ensuring compliance across the firm.
