Job summary

GMP Technologies is seeking an IT Service Technician/Engineer to support East Singapore operations. The role focuses on technical maintenance and troubleshooting of the Video Management System (VMS), notably Milestone XProtect, ensuring high system performance and availability.

You will respond quickly to onsite incidents, adhere to safety protocols, document activities, and report findings daily. Basic Windows server, LAN and VLAN knowledge is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Nitec in IT or related discipline required.
• Strong documentation, communication and presentation abilities expected.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
• Basic knowledge of Windows servers and Milestone VMS troubleshooting.
• Foundational understanding of LANs, switches and VLANs.
• Willing to commit to a 12-hour rotational shift.
• Must be eligible to obtain required security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Respond swiftly to onsite operational incidents, resolving issues in accordance with established SLAs.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures, ensuring work is conducted without disruption to production.
• Proactively identify, report, and resolve system discrepancies, defects, and inconsistencies.
• Prepare and submit accurate daily maintenance reports.
• Conduct basic system and network troubleshooting tasks.
• Undertake any additional duties as assigned by supervisory personnel or management.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Nitec in Information Technology or related disciplines.
• Strong documentation, communication, and presentation abilities.
• Technical Skills:
• (a) Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
• (b) Basic knowledge of Windows servers and Milestone VMS system troubleshooting.
• (c) Foundational understanding of Local Area Networks, switch configurations, and VLANs.
• Able to commit to a 12 hour rotational shift schedule.
• Must be eligible and able to obtain the required security clearance for the project.
