Job summary

VikConnect Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an installation and security systems specialist to support General Security Systems, Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, and Server/Network infrastructure on-site.

The role covers installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation to ensure seamless project delivery and operational stability, with on-site responsibilities and mobility requirements.

Qualifications

• Professional/technical certificate or diploma in engineering or ICT.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Operational Technology or Information Technology.
• Knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, and Server technologies for security systems.
• Valid Class 3 driving license for site visits and mobility.

Responsibilities

• Install, implement, configure, and test system and storage equipment to meet project requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered on site to maintain system functionality.
• Perform OS hardening, patching, and updating on servers and virtual machines to enhance security.
• Develop detailed implementation, migration, and acceptance test plans for projects to ensure smooth execution.
• Conduct acceptance testing with users and address any findings or issues to guarantee system readiness.
• Collaborate closely with Project and Maintenance Managers to plan and coordinate implementation tasks.
• Maintain accurate and consistent work instructions and service delivery processes for operational clarity.
• Create comprehensive As-built documentation for project handover and future reference.

Required competencies and certifications

• Possess a Professional Certificate/Nitec, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Information Technology) or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Operational Technology or Information Technology industry
• Knowledge of networking and IP/TCP protocols to support system integration and troubleshooting
• In-depth knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, and System Server technologies to manage security systems effectively
• Possess a valid Class 3 driving license for site visits and operational mobility

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Hands-on experience with security-related tasks such as OS tightening, patching, updating, and virus scanning to enhance system protection
• IT certifications in Windows systems and storage, networking, databases, virtualization, or cloud technologies to support advanced technical tasks
• Strong communication skills and a positive working attitude to facilitate teamwork and stakeholder engagement
