Job summary

A&O Shearman in Singapore is seeking an Operations Engineer to lead day-to-day IT operations for APAC, driving adoption of secure, scalable technologies and ensuring the firm's core platforms are highly available and compliant.

You will partner with global IT teams, security, and architecture to deliver innovative solutions, manage endpoints with Intune, support major incidents, and mentor teams while shaping the technology roadmap.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT operations and systems engineering within a complex, networked enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operational management of critical business and legal technology platforms in a fast-paced global environment.
• Drive service reliability, performance and user experience across core systems including collaboration, document management, communication and productivity platforms.
• Partner with technology, security and architecture teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet global standards and regional needs.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and lead proof-of-concepts to shape the firm’s technology roadmap.
• Oversee modern endpoint management using Microsoft Intune, ensuring devices remain secure and compliant.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to business stakeholders, translating operational challenges into practical technology solutions.
• Lead and contribute to a diverse range of technology projects, from infrastructure improvements to major platform upgrades.
• Collaborate with global IT teams, vendors and partners to deliver resilient and high-performing services.
• Support major incidents, change management, and continuous service improvement across a 24/7 international environment.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and knowledge sharing across the organization.
