What You Will Do
The Operations Engineeris responsible forleading and evolvingday-to-dayIT operationsfor APACwhile driving the adoption of modern, secure, and scalable technologiesincluding the firm’s cloud platformsthat enhance legal workflows,fee-earnerproductivity, and client service.This role combines operationalresponsibilitieswithforward-lookingtechnology enablement, ensuring the firm’s core platformsremainhighly available, resilient, compliant, and continuously improving.
TheOperationsEngineersupports and executes the firm’s IT and innovation strategyacross infrastructureoperations including the firm’s cloud platform which runs many of the firm’s core business services, endpoint management, service management, incident response, and user adoption, while upholding the confidentiality, regulatory, and data protection obligations critical to the legal industry.
- Lead the day-to-day operational management of critical business and legal technology platforms in a fast-paced global environment.
- Drive service reliability, performance and user experience across core systems including collaboration, document management, communication and productivity platforms.
- Partner with technology, security and architecture teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet both global standards and regional business needs.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, lead proof-of-concepts and help shape the firm's technology roadmap through informed recommendations and business-focused decision making.
- Oversee modern endpoint management using Microsoft Intune, ensuring devices remain secure, compliant and optimised throughout their lifecycle.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to business stakeholders, translating operational challenges into practical technology solutions.
- Lead and contribute to a diverse range of technology projects, from infrastructure and office transformation initiatives to major platform and service upgrades.
- Champion operational excellence by identifying opportunities to improve performance, enhance user experience, strengthen security and drive cost efficiencies.
- Collaborate with global IT teams, vendors and partners to deliver resilient, secure and high-performing technology services.
- Support major incidents, change management activities and continuous service improvement initiatives across a 24/7 international environment.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and knowledge sharing to support teams across the organisation.
What You Will Have
- Experiencein IT operationsandsystems engineering within a complex, networked enterprise environment, withdemonstratedthoughtleadershipand knowledge share.
- Demonstrated experienceof managing high-severity incidents to resolution, carrying out root cause analysis, implementing preventative measures and resilience strategies.
- Proven experience supporting end users in aservice-oriented,customer-focusedrole, preferably within a professional services or legal environment.
- Strong working knowledge of enterprise systems,Microsoft Infrastructure(e.g.Windows Infrastructures, SQL, AD,Virtualization,etc), cloud platforms, collaboration tools, and modern endpoint management solutions.
- Hands-on experience with modern device management (e.g., Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, conditional access, security baselines).
- Strongunderstanding of cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory requirements relevant to legal services or similarly regulated industries
- Experienceworkingwith global teams, effective in engaging and managing stakeholders offshore, and developingstrongrelationships.
- Experienced managingglobal,regionaland local third-partyvendors, holding them accountabletoservice delivery.
- ITIL v3 Foundation certification or equivalent operational service management experience is preferred.
