Job summary

The National University of Singapore (NUS) is seeking an IT Desktop Support and AV Support specialist to deliver first-level desktop assistance for staff devices and to manage AV setups for events and meetings across designated venues. You will handle onboarding/offboarding device provisioning, imaging and deployment, while providing reliable user support and coordinating with vendors as needed.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in IT helpdesk or AV support, strong knowledge of Windows/Mac

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Media Technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 1–2 years of relevant IT helpdesk/desktop support and/or AV technical support experience.
• Working knowledge of Windows/Mac end-user environments and AV systems (audio mixing, displays/projection, video conferencing platforms such as Zoom/Teams).
• Able to work independently across multiple sites, manage concurrent requests and support occasional events outside standard office hours with time-off arrangements per policy.
• Service-oriented, dependable and comfortable engaging staff, tenants and external vendors professionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level desktop support for end-user devices, including laptops/desktops, peripherals, printing, software and connectivity issues.
• Assist with laptop/desktop provisioning, imaging, deployment and returns, including setup for staff onboarding/offboarding.
• Provide first-level support for in-house NUSX systems and standard productivity applications; escalate unresolved issues to Lead, Services Operation, NUS IT or vendors per policy.
• Provide AV setup, operation and teardown support for events across venues.
• Conduct pre-event AV checks and provide on-site support during events; log and elevate faults to vendors.
