Job summary

CHANGI COVE PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an IT Operations Manager to oversee hotel IT services, including hardware, software, security, and network maintenance.

You will ensure availability of critical systems and lead technical support for staff and guests. Responsibilities include monitoring backups, licensing, vendor management, training users, and implementing IT improvements. The role requires hands-on leadership and collaboration with vendors to keep the hotel operations running

Qualifications

• Experience managing IT operations for a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of networks, servers, and security controls.
• Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and licensing management.
• Ability to train staff and provide frontline user support.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hotel IT operations, including servers, email, network, and security.
• Ensure 24/7 availability of PMS, POS, and other critical systems.
• Provide first-line IT support to staff and guests, escalating when needed.
• Manage third-party vendors and track hardware/software licensing.
• Document IT processes and monitor daily backups and security updates.

Job description

Reporting to the Management, or whoever he or she might delegate to, be responsible for the IT operations & services within the Hotel, including software and hardware support, security, anti-virus, firewall protection, server & network maintenance, website etc. Duties includes but not limited to:

• Ensure that the Hotel's computer systems, servers, email servers, network infrastructure and traffic are efficiently run, well maintained and secured
• Ensure critical systems, specifically but not limited to PMS, Call Accounting, PABX, POS, Email services are available 24 hours per day
• Provide all system and network support services, including service outage diagnosis, troubleshooting, restoration of services, virus protection management
• To monitor and report on operational IT problems and carries out tests on software implementations, updates software patches and installs anti-virus systems to protect the systems.
• To train end users on the correct usage of IT systems and provide first line user support services before referring to vendor support, if required
• Provide IT technical assistance and support for all users and guests within the hotel
• Manage third-party vendors
• To document all IT tasks, work processes, system workflow and ensure proper tracking and records of Hotel's IT equipment and issuance to associates
• Manage the daily backup of the system and data files
• Manage the sourcing, acquisition and configuration of hardware and software for the hotel and office
• Responsible for all software and hardware renewal licensing
• To constantly explore new IT improvement and efficient way in supporting the hotel operations.
