Job summary

CHINA HARBOUR (SINGAPORE) ENGINEERING COMPANY PTE. LTD. is seeking a first-level IT support specialist to provide onsite or remote assistance.

The role covers hardware, software, network, and application issues, with responsibilities including procurement, configuration, and troubleshooting of IT equipment for site offices. The ideal candidate has a Diploma/Certificate in IT or related discipline and basic Windows Server and networking knowledge.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in computer tech or IT-related discipline.
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server and networking (TCP/IP).
• Familiar with IT helpdesk support and hardware/software troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level onsite or remote IT support for hardware, software, network, and application-related issues.
• Support site offices with IT-related matters including procurement, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of IT equipment.
• Liaise with vendors for procurement, repair, maintenance, and payment of IT equipment and services.
• Maintain and update the IT asset inventory for accuracy and accountability.
• Manage user accounts including onboarding/offboarding, access permissions, and backup of critical data.
• Monitor security systems to detect unauthorized access and respond to threats.

Job Description:

1. Provide first-level onsite or remote IT support for hardware, software, network, and application-related Issues.
2. Support site offices with IT-related matters, including procurement, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of IT equipment.
3. Liaise with vendors and suppliers for the procurement, repair, maintenance, and payment of IT equipment and services.
4. Maintain and regularly update the IT asset inventory to ensure accuracy, accountability, and resource availability.
5. Manage user accounts, including user onboarding/offboarding, creation, modification, deletion, access permissions, and backup of critical data (e.g., DingTalk, file servers and VPN access).
6. Monitor security systems to detect unauthorized access and respond appropriately to threats.

Job Requirements:

1. Diploma / Certificate in Computer Tech or IT related discipline
2. Knowledge of computer (both laptop and desktop) including IT helpdesk support
3. Basic knowledge of windows Server and networking, tcp/ip, etc.
4. Able to work independently and minimal supervision (investigative/research to resolve problem, etc.)
