Job summary

GovTech seeks a hands-on Investment Operations professional to support JTC's Investment Division in Singapore. You will lead performance reporting, portfolio valuation, liquidity management, and counterparty relations while aiding governance and system enhancements across portfolios and funds.

You will collaborate with custodians, fund managers, and external counsel to ensure compliance with investment guidelines, tax, and regulatory requirements, contributing to a robust operational backbone.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in investment operations or related function.
• Familiarity with the operational lifecycle of investment instruments and funds.
• Experience with custodian/fund administrator reconciliation processes.
• Exposure to investment management agreements and subscription documentation is an advantage.
• Knowledge of tax documentation requirements (e.g. FATCA, CRS, withholding tax) is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in handling data and documentation.
• Ability to work independently in a lean team environment and build processes from scratch.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills for external counterparties.

Responsibilities

• Performance reporting and portfolio valuation for managed portfolios.
• Securities settlement and trade support, including procedures for internal trading books.
• Liquidity management and cash coordination with custodians and fund managers.
• Counterparty relationship management with fund managers, custodians, trustees, and service providers.
• Portfolio compliance monitoring against investment guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Review and negotiation of investment management agreements and related documents.
• Tax and regulatory obligations monitoring and coordination with tax advisors.
• Technology/system evaluation and onboarding to support operations and governance.
• Governance, process enhancements, and audit support to strengthen control environment.
