Job summary

Ministry Of Social And Family Development (MSF) invites you to join ECDA's Transformation Division as an Ops-Tech Solutions Intern to drive digital transformation by building automated solutions for operational challenges.

You will focus on 1-2 departments, engage stakeholders, evaluate tools, develop scripts, and document solutions to enable sustainable adoption within Singapore's public sector. This internship provides hands-on experience in government digital initiatives.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a diploma/degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Technology, Engineering or related fields.
• Experience with digital tools such as Microsoft PowerApps is a plus.
• Basic programming knowledge (Python, VBA, or similar languages).
• Ability to quickly learn and evaluate new software applications.
• Strong analytical and systems thinking abilities.
• Curiosity-driven learner who enjoys exploring new tools independently.
• Excellent communication skills to explain ideas and technical concepts clearly.
• Good project management and documentation abilities.
• Client-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Able to work independently, self-manage and prioritise work to meet deadlines.

What the role is:

Join ECDA's Transformation Division as an Ops-Tech Solutions Intern and drive meaningful digital transformation by developing automated solutions for specific operational challenges. You'll work closely with our Ops-Team team to identify, evaluate, and implement digital tools that streamline departmental workflows.

What you will be working on:

You will concentrate on 1-2 specific operational pain points within ECDA departments, developing targeted automation solutions or implementing suitable digital tools. Your work will include stakeholder engagement, solution development, comprehensive documentation, and knowledge transfer to ensure sustainable adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with designated departments to analyse specific workflow challenges and gather detailed requirements
• Research and evaluate 3-5 digital tools or automation platforms suitable for identified needs
• Develop and test automation scripts or customise selected digital solutions for ECDA's requirements
• Create comprehensive technical documentation, user guides, and training materials
• Conduct user acceptance testing and deliver training sessions to end-users for change management
• Present findings and recommendations to Divisional and Senior Management meetings

What You'll Learn:

• Hands-on experience implementing technology solutions within Singapore's government digital ecosystem

Project Structure:

• Regular participation in user meetings to understand their pain points, operational processes and user workflows, discussion of project progress, gathering early feedback and prioritisation of scope.
• Final presentation of project outcomes to Senior Management team
• Mentorship from supervisor throughout the internship

What we are looking for:
